Question:

Weren't we supposed to go through a "pinning ceremony?" I vaguely remember a discussion from our first year about the "pinning ceremony" at the end of our program. I thought we were supposed to raise our right hand and say the dental hygiene oath. I thought we were all supposed to get a pin or something.

Does anyone else remember this? Am I going crazy?

You guessed it, this is from

I think I missed that discussion. I'm sure they probably said something about it, but:
1. I wasn't listening (when do i EVER?)
and 2. When has anything in that probgram been organized? If anything was suppose to happen, I'm sure the Veit's were making plans for their trip to Italy.

Yeah I kinda remember the first semester Mrs. Veit talking about that when we read the hygiene oath in class and she told us how we wuold feel like we were going to save the world! Maybe that's why I am not feeling it?

You are not crazy. I definately remember that but again I am not suprised one bit that it didn't happen. We always get screwed over and now I am used to it.

Yeah... I came across an old friend of mine's blog. We did our prerequisites at Dixie together. She went to a DH school in Idaho. She had pictures posted of her graduation and pinning ceremony.

hmmm... interesting. I guess they don't want us to live by the DH code...

If you're crazy than I am crazy too because I remember hearing about this "pinning ceremony" as well! It doesn't suprise me that it didn't happen, there were more important things going on like a trip to Italy and stuff! ;)
